Our RISE Performance Programs take place during school holidays, offering participants an immersive and unforgettable experience in the Performing Arts. These week-long programs provide ample opportunities for young people to explore their interests, develop their skills, and connect with like-minded individuals.

Program Highlights:

• Mindset coaching to unlock each participant’s full potential and maintain positive mental health in high-pressure environments, led by Founder and Director Jackie Scott and special guest mentors.

• Rehearsals with industry professionals in various styles and disciplines, providing hands-on learning and practical experience.

• Mentoring, Q&A sessions, and workshops with influential performers, offering insights and knowledge from experienced artists.

• Intense rehearsal process replicating professional industry practices, with a strong focus on mental health and support.

• Opportunities to learn from and connect with world-renowned performers, choreographers, and directors.

• Showcase performance at the end of the program, featuring all participants and special guest artists.

Program Details:

Minis (5-8 years old): Our adorable minis participate in rehearsals, dress rehearsals, and the final showcase, experiencing the joy and excitement of performing alongside the RISE community.

Junior Dance (8-11 years old): Juniors work with professional mentors, choreographers, and directors, taking on new challenges and forming lasting friendships in a supportive environment.

Intermediate Dance (12-14 years old): Our intermediate group thrives on the challenges of RISE, benefiting greatly from mental health and mindset training while working with interstate and international choreographers.

Senior Dance (15+ years old): Seniors dive into the high-pressure experience of putting on a professional show in a week, working with top-tier choreographers and displaying their leadership skills by mentoring younger participants.

Musical Theatre: Participants work with professional performers, choreographers, and directors to develop their skills in singing, dancing, and acting, preparing them for successful careers in the industry. In person audition for this program is compulsory. Online audition available for interstate/International applicants.

Lead Vocalists: A select group of experienced singers chosen through a compulsory audition process, lead vocalists showcase their talents in the final performance.

Graduate Performers: RISE welcomes talented graduates from full-time or tertiary performing arts programs to continue their training, gain performance opportunities, and work with exceptional mentors to create mind-blowing performance works.

Artist of Colour Scholarships: RISE is committed to fostering diversity and inclusivity within the Performing Arts community. We offer full scholarships to support and empower young artists of colour, celebrating the beauty of different cultures and backgrounds.

Participant Requirements and Support

The RISE programs are demanding and require participants to have a certain level of skill, knowledge and experience in their chosen field. It can be detrimental to a young persons physical, mental and emotional health to take part in a program that they are not ready for. We work with families to prepare young people for our programs and/or to take the steps to prepare better for another application. We work with compassion and care and ensure families and young people understand our decisions.

RISE offers term workshops designed to enhance the skills and readiness of aspiring performing artists, helping them prepare for our prestigious RISE Performance Programs.
